AvH Fellow meets Federal President Steinmeier
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s Annual Meeting 2024 took place under the motto #AvHBridgeBuilders and was a celebration of encounters that enabled the Foundation’s sponsorship recipients to get to know and meet other researchers – and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier – in person.
More than 560 scientists from 70 nations discussed science and exchanged experiences from Germany and their home countries. This year, Dr. Shaoxiong Xie, who recently joined the FAU Department of Materials Science and Engineering as an AvH Fellow, was among the participants.
Dr. Shaoxiong recently joined FAU for a joint project between the Institute of Glass and Ceramics and the Institute Materials for Electronics and Energy Technologies on high-throughput development of two-dimensional halide perovskite antiferroelectrics.
